SERVICE 06 OF 08
Foreign Nationals
Legal procedures for residency — tourism, study and investment.
Scope of service
We handle residence permits for foreign nationals in Egypt — first issue and renewal — from choosing the right type of residence to collecting it, avoiding rejected or delayed applications and late-filing fines.
Types of residence
- Work — for people employed in Egypt.
- Tourist — for a temporary stay for tourism.
- Study — for students in Egypt.
- Investment — for investors who set up or run a business in Egypt.
- Family — for those married to an Egyptian or with Egyptian children.
What the service covers
- An initial consultation to identify the residence type, the documents required, the expected timeline and the fees.
- Preparing the documents and making sure they are properly authenticated, such as a housing contract registered at the notary (Shahr El-Akary).
- Following the application at the Passports, Immigration and Nationality Administration on the client's behalf.
- Reminders before renewal dates, and filing on time.
- Helping non-Arabic speakers complete forms and deal with the procedure.
Typical documents
- A valid passport and recent personal photographs.
- The current residence permit, for a renewal.
- A lease or title deed for the residence, registered at the notary.
- A document showing the reason for residence: the employment contract, proof of financial means for work or investment, or the marriage certificate for family residence.
- A medical certificate, for some residence types.
The documents vary with the type of residence; we confirm them for each case at the initial consultation.
